ManageEngine, the manged services software provider, has bolstered its ManageEngine On-Demand applications by adding Active Directory (AD) integration to ServiceDesk Plus On-Demand. The added feature is part of ManageEngine’s quest to “seamlessly integrate applications within the corporate boundary,” according to ManageEngine Director of Product Management Rajesh Ganesan.ManageEngine offers four On-Demand applications:
An IT HelpDesk that includes a self-service portal, knowledge base, automatic request routing, notifications, SLA management, email integration, custom request forms, user surveys, multi-site support and help desk reporting.
Network and Server Monitoring that tracks uptime, traffic and performance of “critical it components.”
ITIL and IT Service Management that tracks organizational assets.
Website Monitoring that reports on the availability and responsiveness of websites, web applications, mail servers and DNS servers.
The new AD feature lets clients integrate the above features with their environments. “Our growing on–demand customer base expects SaaS offerings to integrate with their existing systems and applications,” Ganesan said in a prepared statement. “And we are committed to protecting their ROI by delivering new feature sets and increased integrations in line with their adoption.”
ManageEngine’s AD integration announcement builds on the integration services that the company expanded in Jan. 2011 when it announced that ServiceDesk Plus On-Demand supports Windows, Linux and Mac machines.
