Maxta Reveals New Partner Program with Level Pricing

A new storage vendor has entered the channel fray, with Maxta announcing its plans to introduce a partner program for solution providers looking to resell its VM-centric software storage platform.

The VM storage solution company plans to offer a level pricing model for all partners regardless of size within its channel-only model. Maxta’s MxSP storage platform allows users to convert standard servers into a converged compute and storage solution to eliminate external storage arrays, according to the press release. Partners also can utilize the company’s storage solutions alongside legacy storage.

“We believe that our channel-focused approach is the best way to accelerate the sales growth of Maxta Storage Platform to key markets throughout the world,” said Steve Velardi, Maxta vice president of Worldwide Sales, in a prepared statement. “Maxta is 100 percent committed to the channel and we want to leverage our partners’ experience of the local markets to help us gain visibility and traction. Together, we can leverage these sales opportunities while providing customers with the next generation storage platform.”

Maxta promises a 100 percent channel-based focus, which it said will allow partners to control the sale throughout the process without intervention, ultimately leading to higher sales margins for sellers. The company said its level pricing model is meant to eliminate the need for complex rebates and excess paperwork and to reduce the time and cost of doing business.

Maxta recently presented at this year's VMware Partner Exchange Program (PEX 2014).
