Bob Crissman, Vice President of Global Channels, Alfresco
Crissman: I was a sales rep for Pillsbury. I sold cake mix and flour from Sacramento to RedBluff, CA. Drove supermarket to supermarket trying to get market managers to buy an end-aisle display worth of cake mix. Cake has never been the same for me since. I lasted 6 months.
The VAR Guy says: That doesn't sound like such a sweet deal after all. Sorry, we couldn't resist the pun.
Crissman: I own it! A BMW convertible. Nothing better then driving home with the top down.
The VAR Guy says: There's nothing cooler than owning your dream car!
Crissman: France. We took the whole family and toured Paris and D-Day beaches at Normandy. We all loved it, the history is phenomenal.
The VAR Guy says: We're really glad you were able to both enjoy your vacation and take some time to appreciate history. WWII is something that should never be forgotten.
Crissman: “Oh the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Suess. I used to read this to my kids when they were very young but the message applies to all ages – you are capable of anything you choose, it’s up to you!
The VAR Guy says: Dr. Suess may have written this for children, but its a staple among high school and college graduates for its universal message of hopefulness and classic artwork.
Crissman: We are remodeling and love to cook and entertain so we are installing an 8 burner, commercial grade range in our new kitchen – can’t wait to start using it.
The VAR Guy says: You'll be able to cook for a lot of people with one of those! If you ever need someone to help test out any new recipes, definitely let us know.
Crissman: ESPN College Football Game Day – my absolute favorite way to kick off a Saturday. Go USC Trojans!
The VAR Guy says: And now you can make tons of different game-day snacks on your new range to eat while you watch your favorite team! That's what we call living the high life.
Crissman: I wanted to be an Architect. I Thought it would be cool to get to design buildings – floor plans, elevations, etc … Then I went and talked to an architect when I was 16 and found out it was more about math and engineering – pass.
The VAR Guy says: Math and engineering aren't our forte either. Its so much easier to just pretend to be an architect, like Art Vandelay from "Seinfeld."
Crissman: "Forrest Gump." Great popcorn movie with action, drama, comedy and amazing effects all rolled into one.
The VAR Guy says: Life might be like a box of chocolates, but there's no doubt that what you get with "Forrest Gump" is one of Tom Hanks' best performances.
