Gentry: My first job was working as a clerk and junior sales person in a local jewelry store.
The VAR Guy says: We bet that came with a lot more responsibility than just bagging groceries!
Gentry: My dream car is an Audi R8 Spyder Convertible.
The VAR Guy says: An excellent choice. We happen to like this car fhs most in a cool, metallic blue color.
Gentry: What's a vacation?
The VAR Guy says: Aww! Sometimes, being channel chief means you have to sacrifice days at the beach for days in the office.
Gentry: "JOB: A Comedy of Justice" by Robert Heinlein.
The VAR Guy says: This 1984 comedy won the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel and was nominated for several others, including the Hugo Award and Nebula Award for Best Novel.
Gentry: A new TaylorMade 'Daddy Long Legs' putter.
The VAR Guy says: Fancy! Now that the weather is getting nicer, it's never been a better time to get out on the golf course and work on your swing.
Gentry: My favorite TV show is "Empire."
The VAR Guy says: We've heard so many good things about this Fox drama, but haven't had a chance to check it out ourselves. Chalk it up to yet another great TV show that there just isn't enough time for.
Gentry: I wanted to be an actor.
The VAR Guy says: Being able to star in big-budget action flicks would be a dream come true for us as well. We can't imagine how cool it would be to see ourselves on the silver screen.
Gentry: "Star Wars Episode IV" (The Original). When this movie was first released I was a young boy and it completely influenced my views on so many levels. This was most evident in the way I sought out something similar to ’the force’ in the real world, which eventually led me to studying Buddhism and the practice of Vipassana Meditation, (the original teaching of Gotama Buddha). P.S. Vipassana means “to see things as they really are.”
The VAR Guy says: That's fascinating! We love "Star Wars" more than nearly anything else, but we never thought to take our fandom and translate it into real-world research. Very inspiring!
