Caragol: Following college, I landed my first “real job ” at a printing company where I was the only woman and also the youngest employee. I loved doing cold calls and the challenge of turning a ‘no’ into a ‘yes’ and I was proud to earn the status of the top new customer builder in the country out of 1,000 representatives. Overall, I learned a lot there that I still find useful for my career today.
The VAR Guy says: Was second place a set of steak knives?
Caragol: I would love to have a four seater Mercedes convertible. I dream of bringing my boys for a ride in it when they are much older!
The VAR Guy says: You sound like a really cool mom! Wish my mom drove a Mercedes when I was younger, but it was minivan city for us.
Caragol: I often go to Spain because we have family and friends from Barcelona and Valencia.
The VAR Guy says: Need a nanny? Or a driver? Just give us a call. We could use the R&R.
Caragol: “Women Who Changed The World: Fifty Inspirational Women Who Shaped History,” by various.
The VAR Guy says:
“Women Who Changed the World” takes a chronological look back at 50 of the most powerful, influential and iconic women in history, ranging from Cleopatra to Joan of Arc, Marilyn Monroe, Rosa Parks and more.
Caragol: A new watch
The VAR Guy says: Seeing as how you’re a channel chief, our next question is: Was it a smartwatch?
Caragol: Chicago Fire
The VAR Guy says: Chicago Fire is a (dare we say, fiery) drama about the firefighters, paramedics and rescue squad of Chicago Firehouse 51 from Dick Wolf, the creator of the esteemed “Law & Order” series.
Caragol: I wanted to be a teacher.
The VAR Guy says: Being a channel chief is sort of like being a teacher—the minds (and behavior) you’re helping shape are just a bit older.
Caragol:“The LEGO Movie,” because it was the first movie my oldest son watched [in its entirety] and he still repeats today, “Everything is awesome, everything is cool when you’re part of a team, everything is awesome when we’re living our dreams.” Also, my little 5-year-old boy told his teacher his mommy’s favorite place to visit in the world is Legoland!
The VAR Guy says: The VAR Guy has seen this one many times, and he agrees it is a modern-day classic. And everyone’s favorite place to visit is Legoland (or at least it should be)!
