New Consulting and Research Division Boosts Channel Futures with In-Depth Content
In-depth research is coming the channel's way.
CHANNEL PARTNERS CONFERENCE & EXPO — Informa Tech’s Omdia division is launching a channel consulting and research division dedicated to helping vendors and suppliers of technology and communications solutions and services accelerate growth while gaining insight the future of the entire channel. The business unit will be embedded within the Informa Tech Channels division which operates industry-leading channel media and events brands that include Channel Futures, Channel Partners Conference & Expo, MSP Summit and MSP 501.

Joining the launch team are principal analyst Devan Adams and principal consultant Debbie Kane. They will be spearheading a series of new initiatives to help technology and communications providers address the future of the channel in key growth markets such as cybersecurity, managed security services, cloud, collaboration, infrastructure and networking. The new channel research and consulting practice will leverage Omdia’s existing portfolio of technology markets research, consulting and custom reports, and go-to-market advice and services. Omdia serves the vast majority of technology and communications solutions from the largest service providers to mainstream IT providers and emerging players.

New team member Adams developed strong relationships with top channel partners for several years as a global product manager in the IT equipment industry.
Since then, he has spent more than 10 years as a lead analyst for high-growth markets within the IT sales channel ecosystem, including service providers (cloud and telco), data center infrastructure (hardware/ software) vendors and enterprises.
Consulting and Research Expertise
Adams will use his combination of channel ecosystem experience, plus proven abilities in market research (primary and secondary) and analysis (quantitative and qualitative), developing market trackers (share/ size/ forecast), market segmenting and positioning, and designing surveys to help clients make actionable data-driven decisions which will enable them to increase their knowledge of the channel market and identify opportunities to grow.
Adams’ educational background includes a master’s degree with a focus in market research and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics.
Kane will work closely with Adams to bring new channel opportunities for technology providers. She has a diverse career dedicated to the channel market that spans more than 20 years. Her background in partner marketing supporting a variety of technology vendors and their partners, as well as channel sales and consulting within the channel media and publishing industry, gives her an understanding of all facets of channel strategy and a unique perspective on the entire channel ecosystem.
