Verizon
Verizon Digital Media Services added an around-the-clock managed cloud security offering as part of its global cloud security solution. The new component provides access to security professionals who monitor and take corrective action against the latest security threats 24/7. The cloud security offering already included a dual web application firewall (WAF), distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection, bot management and real-time analytics and reporting.
VDMS’ managed cloud security offering is not yet available to channel partners, but it’s exploring opportunities to make it available in the near future.
Edward Gately has the scoop.
AT&T
AT&T expanded its use of the RingCentral Office@Hand platform in a surprising turn of events.
The telecommunications company had informed customers in January that it would part ways with RingCentral, whose Office platform is the foundation for Office@Hand. AT&T now plans to offer the “end-to-end cloud-based phone system" to enterprise customers in addition to small and medium-size businesses.

SolarWinds MSP
SolarWinds MSP unveiled its new Threat Monitoring Service Program, which builds on SolarWinds Threat Monitor with outsourced security operations center (SOC) services.
SolarWinds MSP’s senior vice president said not every MSP is cut out to become an MSSP, so a more layered approach is needed in terms of providing cybersecurity to MSPs. Dell EMC
Dell EMC rolled out new PowerVault ME4 Series storage arrays that take aim at the small and medium-size business (SMB) market.
