Identity management service provider Okta is improving its fledgling Okta Solution Providers (OSP) partner program with the introduction of a new four-tiered structure and enhanced specialization of support and benefits for qualified partners. Okta launched its partner program just a year ago, and already is looking to improve it by helping resellers strengthen their relationships with both the company and their customers.
“Our Enterprise Identity Network is growing rapidly, as we bring on even more organizations, people, applications, and devices—and its success is based not only on a great product and amazing customers, but also on our valuable partners,” said Frederic Kerrest, COO of Okta, in a statement. “Our OSP ecosystem plays a critical role in enabling our customers to get up and running quickly and in ensuring their ongoing success with our service. We’re excited to be launching this new and improved program as it will enable us to scale the success we’ve already seen through our channel partners and, as a result, come several steps closer to realizing our vision for the Enterprise Identity Network.”
With its revised tiered structure, Okta is promising the ability to scale the program to partners both large and small while also supporting a wider range of partners and use cases in multiple industries and geographies. Similar to other partner programs of its ilk, each of Okta’s designated tiers are designed for specific partner certification requirements, revenue, commitments and benefits. Partners will be able to take advantage of additional support for their individual business growth, including differentiated reseller partner net margins, comprehensive sales, technical and certification training. Dedicated marketing resources and discounted pricing for partners to use Okta internally will be included as part of the program as well.
Certain qualified partners also will be able to participate in Oktane14, the company’s annual user conference, although details as to which partners would be eligible were not disclosed.
Earlier this month, Okta was named as a leader in Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant for identity and access management as a service.
