EarthLink (ELNK) has appointed IT veteran Olen E. Scott as its new channel chief and vice president of Channel Sales, responsible for leading the company’s indirect channel business and expanding the existing partner program.
Scott joined the managed network, security and cloud solution provider in 2013 as regional vice president of Sales for the Northern Region, and also served as vice president of Account Management before being appointed channel chief.
He has served in a variety of executive leadership roles throughout his 20-year career in the channel, including at companies such as XO Communications, Verizon Business and MCI, according to the announcement.
“With his extensive industry and Partner experience and recent accomplishments growing EarthLink’s strategic accounts, Olen Scott is an ideal fit for this important channel leadership role,” said Gerard Brossard, executive vice president and managing director of Managed Services and Information Technology at EarthLink, in a statement. “Under Olen’s leadership, we plan to take our Channel Partner program to the next level by strengthening Partner collaboration, investment and support, with the ultimate goal of delivering an ever stronger customer experience together.”
In April, EarthLink appointed former Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) executive Gerard Brossard as its executive vice president and managing director of Managed Services and Information Technology, replacing Michael D. Toplisek.
