Paessler Revamps Partner Program for Network Monitoring

Network monitoring specialist Paessler AG has revamped its aging partner program with the addition of a new deal registration process and marketing rewards to help resellers garner bigger margins.

The new partner program sorts resellers into four specific tiers, but with a twist; tier status is not based solely on sales volume, but a combination of sales and marketing activities to provide all resellers with an equal chance of achieving platinum and gold status.

“Almost 10 years have passed since we introduced our first partner program,” said Christian Twardawa, chief operating officer at Paessler, in a statement. “In this time span we have learned a lot from our resellers, and I’m very happy that we are now able to introduce an optimized partner program which continues to strengthen our resellers.”

Among the additions to the program, Paessler will provide partners with up to a 25 percent discount on deals registered, with registered deals valid for 90 days instead of the previous 30-day period. Consequently, resellers will be eligible to receive the top deal-registration discounts as well as discounts on licenses, upgrades, renewals and certifications as they rise through the partner program.

The new partner program is Paessler’s latest effort to bolster channel partner interest in its solutions; in May, Paessler added its new Monitoring Expert certificate to the company’s certification program, which replaced the previous Monitoring Professional test with a more in-depth program.
