PIKA Technologies Inc. has released the PIKA WARP Appliance product portfolio, which contains an Appliance for Asterisk and an Appliance for Linux. These smaller, lower-cost alternatives to the traditional deployment platform of an off-the-shelf computer with plug-in voice boards, have been built for voice-application deployment, said the company. They are targeted toward those deploying small-to-medium IP PBX systems, integrated voice response self-service systems, predictive dialing systems and fax servers.

On the VoIP side, the PIKA WARP Appliance can accommodate up to 75 trunk and telephone IP endpoints. In addition, each unit comes equipped with one analog telephone port for portable phones, fax machines or answering machines, and can be expanded with up to eight additional analog ports to be used for either trunks or telephones.
