Remo Software Announces Partnership with AVAST Software

Remo Software is offering its Windows customers free antivirus protection for its customers with the announcement of a new partnership with AVAST, a veteran of the cybersecurity market.

Beginning immediately, AVAST antivirus protection will be bundled with Remo Software’s Remo MORE cloud-based device management app free of charge. The India-based software utility company said the new partnership is a way to enhance one of its most popular products with leading antivirus protection.

“AVAST is a great fit for Remo Software because they manage security instead of just identifying threats,” said Omer Faiyaz, Remo Software Founder and CEO in a statement. “At Remo Software, we create utilities for users to manage their devices easily; integrating AVAST with our Windows tool allows us to extend industry-leading antivirus and malware protection support to our users.”

According to the press release, AVAST’s antivirus software gives users the ability to prevent browser and social media tracking, which will work well paired with Remo MORE’s single interface management layout.

“Remo Software helps users achieve maximum productivity across multiple platforms, including desktops, laptops, tablets or smartphones,” said Lynette Van Benthuysen, senior director of Business Development at AVAST. “We look forward to working with Remo Software as a partner.”

The Remo MORE app is also available for free from the company’s website for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Remo noted that while only the Windows version of its app supports AVAST’s antivirus protection as of now, support for the Android version will be added later this year. the company did not specify whether Mac and iOS users will benefit from the added protection in the future.
