Score another mobility partner win for the SAP Mobile platform. IT services provider Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) announced its new Enterprise Managed Mobility Service (EMMS) will be based on SAP's solution. The new ATS offering, part of the company's EnterpriseWatch suite of services, is intended to reduce the complexity of deploying mobile applications across back-end enterprise systems and mobile devices. Here are the details.
ATS' new service extends EnterpriseWatch to encompass mobility. Aimed at large global enterprises and mid-sized businesses, the solution is designed to provide inventory, expense management, logistics, mobile device management, mobile security and application deployment. The mobile device management (MDM) and security modules of the ATS' managed service have relied on SAP Afaria for the past year.
ATS Vice President of IT Services William Stuckert said the SAP solution would help with quick deployments. "This value is derived by leveraging ATS’s Enterprise Mobility Managed Services platform to reduce the barrier to entry with rapid implementation resulting in rapid results for our customer’s core business," Stuckert said in a statement. "SAP has been a key partner for our own mobile device management and security solutions in manufacturing concentrations throughout North America."
ATS employs approximately 3,000 people across the U.S., Mexico, and the United Kingdom. The company is headquartered in Peoria, Illinois.
