Data center developer Server Farm Realty LLC (SFR) is expanding its data center portfolio in Chicago through the addition of another data center facility.
According to the company, the new facility, located in a southwest suburb of Chicago, was designed to support tenants looking for data center, colocation, call center, disaster recovery and network operations center (NOC) space.
The company said the facility features expansive floor plates of contiguous, open space, optimal power capability, cutting-edge fiber cabling and direct access to numerous communications and network providers.
Server Farm Realty President Avner Papouchado said in a prepared statement that "the Oak Brook data center features close proximity to robust underground telecoms fiber, as well as optimal power and electrical service."
"Backed by SFR’s deep technical capabilities, the region’s dense fiber optic network, and solid infrastructure, the facility provides tenants with the expertise, connectivity and framework necessary to succeed in today’s saturated technology market," he said.
Server Farm unveiled its first Chicago-based facility, a 450,000-square-foot data center, in June 2013. The company's portfolio of data center properties includes eight facilities throughout North America.
