The HTC EVO 3D smartphone has a pair of 5MP cameras that can be used to capture both conventional and 3D images and videos, opening up new frontiers for user-generated content, social networking and streaming video, the company said.

CTIA WIRELESS The proposed $39 billion AT&T-T-Mobile mega-merger is certainly on the minds of Sprint execs at this weeks CTIA Wireless show in Orlando, but they hope the introduction of a pair of cool new 4G devices brings eyeballs back to their company.

Sprint touts the HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View as the 21st and 22nd 4G devices to debut on its wireless network. The former is a smartphone that Sprint says takes the mobile multimedia experience to a new level.” It lets you capture and view video in 3D and share at 4G speeds, a glasses-free 3D experience.” The latter is the first tablet computer in the HTC EVO product line.

No launch dates or prices have been announced, but expect to see the devices this summer.

The HTC EVO 3D smartphone runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), has a 4.3-inch display and a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor. It has a pair of 5MP cameras that can be used to capture both conventional and 3D images and videos, opening up new frontiers for user-generated content, social networking and streaming video, the company said.

The HTC EVO View 4G is an Android tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen, two cameras and integrated HD video capture. It has a 1.5GHz processor and 32GB of internal memory.
