Sprint, Thinking Phone Networks Partner for Unified Communications

Unified communications (UC) solutions provider Thinking Phone Networks will now offer Sprint (S) Global Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) for businesses.

The company yesterday became the inaugural member of Sprint’s new Cloud Application Provider (CAP) Extranet program.

Thinking Phone Networks said Sprint’s CAP Extranet program connects cloud application providers and MPLS customers and is designed to eliminate network bottlenecks.

The partnership enables the delivery and deployment of cloud-based UC by combining Thinking Phone Networks’ ThinkingSuite solution with Sprint’s Global MPLS services.

“Our new CAP program enables cloud solution providers to offer their customers direct and secure connectivity to their cloud application through our MPLS network,” Craig Safir, Sprint’s director of cloud and converged markets, said in a prepared statement. “This greatly reduces the time it takes for a cloud solution provider to onboard new customers.”

Thinking Phone Networks said its ThinkingSuite solution “combines powerful analytics-driven communications services, application integration and turnkey back-office operational functionality on an open-architected platform.”

Chris Hurley, Thinking Phone Network’s vice president of strategic alliances, noted he believes collaborating with Sprint could help his company bolster its services.

“The quality of the network is critical in the delivery of real-time cloud communications, and we are excited to work with Sprint to provide a secure solution for our suite of UC products,” Hurley said. “Sprint’s commitment to innovation and the international coverage of their network make them a great collaborator for us.”
