Tech Data Adds VMware vSphere With Operations Management

IT distributor Tech Data Corp. announced Monday the addition of VMware vSphere with Operations Management to its portfolio through its partnership with VMware.

This new offering combines the VMware VSphere virtualization platform with VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite to help solutions providers more efficiently manage and optimize virtualized environments..

Among its benefits are up to 50 percent reduction in capital and operating expense, nearly doubling the cost savings on a virtualized environment, the company said.

It also proactively detects and increases performance while lowering downtime with patented analytic capabilities to provide insight into the health and efficiency of virtualized environments. Further, it reduces alerts and false positive with dynamic thresholds, automated root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation.

Finally, it helps increase server consolidation ratios and plan for future needs with capacity planning, analysis and optimization capabilities that enable the most efficient use of virtualized resources.
