Tech Data to Offer Saratoga Speed Flash Arrays to U.S. Resellers
Tech Data (TECD) announced an exclusive partnership with flash storage array provider Saratoga Speed to provide the company’s full portfolio of products to the distributor’s U.S. resellers.
Tech Data (TECD) announced an exclusive partnership with flash storage array provider Saratoga Speed to provide the company’s full portfolio of products to the distributor’s U.S. resellers.
The solutions are available through Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Division to help resellers increase their portfolio of products centered around big data, according to the distributor.
“Tech Data is committed to providing cutting-edge technology and services to the channel,” said Chuck Bartlett, senior vice president, AIS at Tech Data, in a statement. “Our agreement with Saratoga Speed is another reflection of this commitment. Their all-flash arrays are purpose-built from the ground up to deliver a uniquely diverse and flexible platform that satisfies a multitude of high-performance data challenges.”
Saratoga Speed’s portfolio consists of high-speed all-flash storage arrays designed to downsize customers’ physical storage footprint and extend user’s current infrastructure, according to the announcement.
The arrays will be available for virtual or personal demonstration in Tech Data’s solution center in Clearwater, Florida, for those interested in testing the products before they buy.
The partnership is a formalization of the two companies’ existing two-year business relationship, said Sharad Mehrotra, CEO of Saratoga Speed.
“We are delighted to be working with Tech Data in introducing our revolutionary all-flash storage arrays to the channel,” said Mehrotra. “Tech Data immediately understood the disruptive nature of our platforms when we first met them two years ago. Since then, they have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with us in evangelizing the products and solutions to channel partners. I am confident that Saratoga Speed and Tech Data will both look back upon this as a foundational relationship for our two companies as we build out the business.”
The partnership comes hot on the heels of Tech Data’s acquisition of Signature Technology Group last week. The acquisition, which includes certain assets of the Phoenix-based data center and professional service provider, is expected to close at the end of this month.
