Telarus is buying assets from a top-selling partner.

The Utah-based master agent will buy Cynergy Telecom’s operations team. The deal, set to finalize Nov. 1, harnesses Cynergy’s long-term investment in project and account management. Telarus will absorb Cynergy’s customer support resources, and the company said new Telarus support offerings will emerge in 2020’s first quarter.

“We are thrilled to add their expertise to our team,” Telarus chief operating officer Richard Murray said. “These highly developed customer processes will help to further advance our capabilities for the benefit of all partners who elect to take advantage of this service.”

Cynergy executives said they are responding to the master agent’s growing operations side. The deal allows Cynergy to refocus its approach without worrying about in-house customer support.

“Our passion has been finding and educating our customers about the right solutions for their business, and this transaction allows us to do more of that,” said Jeff Cohen, partner at Cynergy.

Cynergy’s remaining organization will continue work with a “streamlined and more efficient staff.”

“This sale allows us to leverage the scale of the Telarus operation so we can focus on expanding our sales efforts,” said Mike Emanuelo, partner at Cynergy.

The companies didn’t disclose the deal’s financial details.

The companies have been partnering for 10 years. Cynergy recently earned recognition as a top Telarus partner in 2018. Telarus awarded Cynergy diamond partner status – its highest honor – last year.

Telarus earlier this week announced Tonya Palmateer as its new senior partner development manager.
