Fanatical support. Carrier and cloud services. Technology asset management. What do these three topics have in common? They are all featured in The Channel Futures Podcast Episode No. 7.
First up: Channel Futures connects with Rackspace Channel Chief Lisa McLin. McLin is a self-professed customer support fanatic who is also a bit of an outlier in our industry: she has stayed at the same company for more than 15 years. Why? It’s the company’s commitment to support and customer experience. She just loves it.
In her interview, McLin (pictured above) gives us an update on the latest at Rackspace, its differentiation in the market and her views on getting partners working together.
Next we connect with ScanSource CTO Greg Dixon (pictured below). A Channel Futures Think Tank founding member, Dixon talks with Achieve Unite Founder and Principal Analyst Theresa Caragol. They discuss channel convergence, changing channel business models, and partner to partner cooperation.
“We’re listening and paying really close attention to what our customers want,” says Dixon.
After Dixon, the podcast wraps with Snow Software Chief Storyteller Matt Fisher. If you’re not familiar, Snow Software may very well be one of the biggest software companies that you have never done business with. For most of its existence, it’s primary sales efforts have been in Europe. But now Snow Software is a global company offering software and asset management and more. It’s also looking for partners to help grow its business.
Fisher provides an overview of the company’s history, how buyer’s journeys are changing and why large systems integration companies need his technology.
Lastly, I share some thoughts after 30 years in the channel. It’s been great and I cannot wait for the next chapter as we launch Channel Futures. Thanks for tuning in.
