Unify Taps New Global Channel Chief

Unify (UNFY), the company formerly known as Siemens Enterprise Communications, has named Jon Pritchard as the company’s latest global channel chief, responsible for developing strong partnerships across all indirect channel activities.

Unify announced Pritchard’s appointment yesterday in a press release, noting he will be the company’s leading executive for developing relationships for both SMB markets and large-scale alliance relationships.

“Growing revenue through complementary indirect channels is one of Unify’s highest priorities and we need to further increase our focus on being channel-ready and providing value to our partners,” said Dean Douglas, chief executive officer of Unify in a prepared statement. “Jon brings global channel expertise to Unify to help lead this charge and take advantage of opportunities in the market. I am very happy to welcome Jon to my senior executive team and look forward to working closely with him in the future.”

Pritchard has been an industry veteran within the channel for more than 25 years, including his tenure at distribution giant Ingram Micro UK. As the former president of Comstor Worldwide (a division of distributor Westcon Group, where Douglas previously served as president and CEO), Pritchard was responsible for managing Westcon’s Cisco dedicated business practice as well as marketing and business development initiatives.

“Unify has a tremendous opportunity to grow its channel business and deliver real value to channel partners and customers,” said Pritchard in a prepared statement. “With a dynamic new brand, the industry-leading OpenScape portfolio plus the exciting new Project Ansible that will hit the market later this year, the time is now for Unify to take full advantage of the capabilities of a world-class channel program. I am excited at the opportunity to join Unify and bring its indirect channel program to the next level.”

Veeam also appointed a new channel chief earlier this week, announcing that Chris Moore would take charge of the company’s data protection solutions for SMBs.
