If visibility and security monitoring are what is keeping some organizations from adopting Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Office 365, then there may be hope. Persistent encryption provider Vaultive and cloud-based monitoring and assessment solutions provider Exoprise are now working together in the hopes of speeding up the adoption of Office 365 and other cloud services.
The alliance pairs the vendors’ respective technologies with the intention of giving customers “complete visibility” into cloud application performance and enabling the ability to “address governance and compliance requirements for cloud data.” Although Vaultive and Exoprise have come together to help businesses monitor the security and performance of cloud services in general, they specifically indicated Office 365 as the key service they’re trying to accelerate adoption of.
“The key value proposition that Exoprise and Vaultive bring to the table is providing a set of complementary solutions in the Office 365 ecosystem. The outcome of this alliance is a reinforcement of our common value proposition of accelerating cloud adoption for customers,” said George Nichols, Exoprise CEO, in a prepared statement.
According to Exoprise, its cloud readiness and critical performance analytics help customers build a business case for cloud adoption. Monitoring to ensure performance helps to alleviate some of the concerns they have about lag and less-than-ideal application execution. Vaultive, on the other hand, designed its product to be a platform for long-term cloud data ownership and control, with a focus on Office 365. It’s meant to give businesses full control over their data no matter where it’s stored.
Security and performance. Those are definitely two of the biggest items that make cloud skeptics raise their eyebrows. Shedding more light on those issues, if not solving them outright, could actually bring a few naysayers around.
Both Exoprise and Vaultive support cloud best practices, including those laid out by the Cloud Security Alliance, and the combined solution is aimed at customers interested in following similar deployment and management models.
