VIAcode Adds Cloud Consulting, Implementation Services

VIAcode Consulting, a Connecticut-based software development company, has launched two new cloud-based offerings — cloud implementation and cloud strategy consulting services. The announcement came at Microsoft‘s (MSFT’s) TechEd North America 2014 Conference in Houston today.

VIAcode’s cloud solutions are based on Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and open source platforms and technologies such as OpenStack and Apache CloudStack.

VIAcode said its new cloud implementation services include “custom cloud application development, migration of on-premise applications to the cloud and development and operations (DevOps) services to put applications into production.” The company said these services are designed to support customers in several vertical markets, including:

In addition, VIAcode’s new cloud strategy consulting allows customers to work directly with VIAcode technologists to develop their cloud strategies, VIAcode said. The company noted its consultants will help customers analyze their cloud applications and select the right platforms and tools for their businesses.

“Through cloud strategy consulting services, we enable our clients to make the right technical and business choices as they move their applications and infrastructure to the cloud,” Dmitriy Nikonov, VIAcode’s vice president of technology and operations, said in a prepared statement.

Founded in 2001, VIAcode incorporates various Microsoft software development technologies into its services and has collaborated with myriad technology companies over the years, including Agilysis (AGYS), Cisco Systems (CSCO) and NetApp (NTAP).
