Westcon Group Signs Distribution Agreement With Cisco

Westcon Group Inc. announced that it is extending its distribution agreement with Cisco into the Canadian reseller market. Westcon Groups expanded relationship with Cisco is designed to increase the success of its reseller partners delivering innovative unified communications and VoIP solutions, primarily in the SMB and midmarket.
This announcement extends the existing distribution agreement between Westcon Group and Cisco, which serves channel partners in Europe, Latin America, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Westcon Group initially will launch OneVoice, and OneDefense, to be followed by OneWave and OneNetwork at a later stage. These multinational solutions programs provide the selling tools, product information and market analysis resellers need to succeed in advanced technologies such as convergence, security, mobility and network infrastructure, said the company.
As small and medium sized businesses in nearly every vertical market continue to embrace IP telephony, the opportunities to provide them with unified communication platforms expands dramatically, commented Lynn Smurthwaite-Murphy, vice president, Westcon Canada/SMB North America.
