Christmas is a mere two days away, which means we have fewer than 48 hours to find that perfect gift. You can’t go wrong with a great tech gift, in my opinion. So what’s on my Christmas wish list? Read on and find out!
Why It Makes the List: Yeah, I know I said wearables are taking us down the path to total lack of privacy and control, but I keep forgetting to clip on my original FitBit when I exercise.
Cost: $129.95
Why It Makes the List: This could be the answer to all of my power needs. It’s a universal charging station that plugs into a regular outlet and features built-in charging tips for Apple products. It’s also got a USB port for other devices. Traveling? Bring this bad boy along and never again worry about forgotting your power cords.
Cost: Currently in a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo, prices vary depending on quantity and whether you want to also pick up the boostPack mobile charger. But I’m sure it’s worth every penny.
Why It Makes the List: Segway haters gonna hate, but I’ve always thought these two-wheeled beauties were a work of art. I would love one day to have a ride as sweet as Paul Blart, Mall Cop’s.
Cost: $4,000, give or take
Why It Makes the List: Sennheiser headphones are known for their exceptional sound quality, and being the audiophile that I am, I want to hear every note come through crystal clear with everything I listen to, from Beethoven to the Beastie Boys.
Cost: $799
Why It Makes the List: This actually would be for my teenage son, who can’t seem to drag himself out of bed in the morning. Want five extra minutes of sleep when the alarm goes off? Shoot the target.
Cost: $18.99
Why It Makes the List: I’m impressed with the progress electric vehicles have made over the past year. Perhaps one day I, too, will be able to afford one. Until then, perhaps Santa will recognize that I’ve been extra good this year.
Cost: $42,275 before incentives
Why It Makes the List: I love my dog. It’s that simple.
Cost: $150
Why It Makes the List: First-person video is such a nifty genre, I’d like to give it a try myself, although the most exciting thing I do these days is go for a bike ride.
Cost: $400
Why It Makes the List: I love a good glass of wine (or two), but I would really love having the ability to choose from a few types without fear of the wine going bad before I drink it all.
Cost: $5,000
Why It Makes the List: I’m pretty organized, but occasionally the couch will eat my keys and my son will hijack my smartphone to play Minion Rush. Like the tagline says, “If you’d miss it, tile it.”
Cost: $25 for one; $70 for four
