Accessone Deploys Web-Based Instant Quoting Platform

Access One Inc. has deployed Access Manage Price (AMP), a custom version of the MasterStream-RX Web-based instant quoting and management platform from Salestream Software. AMP offers instant quoting, custom proposals and a sales management tool for the companys direct sales and agent channels. Later this fall, AccessOne will be the first provider to offer real-time quoting and data exchange with the many master agents who use Salestreams MasterStream-MX platform. www.accessoneinc.com

Telarus Launches Mars

Telarus Inc. has launched MARS, its new private-labeled, back-office software. The Master Agent Reporting System was created in house and is a Web-based management platform that combines Telarus real-time quoting system, proposal generation system and VAR network system. www.telarus.com

Whaleback Systems Adds Rail Connection

Whaleback Systems announced the availability of a new way of connecting commercial voice service customers to the Whaleback network using a redundant array of independent links (RAIL) sourced from diverse broadband service providers. A RAIL-enabled router provided by Whaleback is used to interface multiple broadband links to a Whaleback IP PBX server located at the customer premise. Software monitors changes in call volume and link quality over the end-to-end path taken on one or more IP networks, and the RAIL system adjusts to changing conditions by selecting the best path for the customers calls based on traffic levels, service quality or link status. RAIL is included as a standard feature as a part of Whalebacks managed service offering. www.whalebacksystems.com

Digium Beefs Up Appliance

Digium Inc. introduced at NXTcomm a new, higher-end Asterisk Appliance, available in fourth quarter. The original topped out at 50 users; the new one can serve up to 500 users, enabling both enterprise and service provider customers of Asterisk to scale the platform more easily. www.digium.com

Sangoma Releases Hardware for Fax Support

Sangoma Technologies Corp. has released its A500 BRI Card to support fax over PC-based T1/E1 digital phone systems. The softwareagnostic card works with any operating system or application, including Asterisk, FreeSwitch, CallWeaver, OPAL and Yate.

The firmware revisions include an option for the analog card to receive its clocking from a T1/E1 card via a two-connector cable, ensuring synchronicity with PSTN timing and increasing fax quality. The card allows businesses to have reliable fax service without paying for a separate external analog line just to support faxing. www.sangoma.com

NACT Introduces Hosted Billing Application

NACT Telecommunications Inc. has introduced IRIS, a hosted billing application for voice, video, data and other services, that offers developers and property managers the opportunity to sell new services and to find shared revenue opportunities. The converged billing platform is targeted toward SMBs and requires no purchase charges and no licensing fees.

ISPhone Enhances VoiP Billing Software

ISPhone Inc. announced enhancements to its VoIP-PRO 3 authentication, authorization and accounting software for VoIP service providers. VoIP-PRO 3 enables service providers to manage an unlimited number of resellers and subresellers, and provide each with its own flexible rate plans, allowing service providers to change rates by time of day and even during a call. Rate plans are managed through VoIP-PROs online user interface, which allows service providers to create and manage both prepaid and postpaid calling accounts, as well as download call detail records and other critical account information. www.isphone.net

Shoretel Adds Unified Communications Apps

ShoreTel Inc. added two applications to its unified communications portfolio. NetSuite Integration automatically links incoming calls to existing customer records and, for new customers, to a new record-creation screen. ShoreTel Cost Recovery Integration lets SMEs combine their ShoreTel IP telephony system and account code-tracking applications to capture all telephone activities for reimbursement. www.shoretel.com

ADTRAN Releases NetVanta 1335

Networking equipment supplier ADTRAN Inc. introduced the NetVanta 1335. The multiservice access router combines a modular IP access router, 802.11a/b/g wireless access point, 24-port Layer 2/3 PoE switch, firewall, VPN appliance and DSU/CSU in one chassis. It also provides 802.11a/b/g dual radio support at speeds up to 54mbps and offers advanced features including multiple SSIDs and WPA2 support. www.adtran.com

NEC Develops UniVerGe for Vertical Markets

NEC Unified Solutions Inc. unveiled the UNIVERGE Attendant (UA5200) for enterprises and SMBs. The application features a new user interface, advanced call-processing capabilities, enhanced directory functionality and improved caller response time. The UA5200 runs on NECs UNIVERGE OW5000, an open application platform, and is compatible with NECs UNIVEGE SV7000 and NEAX communications systems. www.necunified.com

Interactive Intelligence Platform Works With Microsoft Messaging

Business communications software developer Interactive Intelligence Inc. has finished integrating its IP PBX platform with Microsofts Exchange Server 2007 unified messaging software. Interactive Intelligences IP telephony platform now provides SIP-based VoIP switching, ACD, speech-enhanced IVR and more. Interactive Intelligence and Microsoft jointly tested the product. Polycom Enhances ReadiManager

Polycom Inc. has introduced ReadiManager SE200 Version 2.0, an application for conference management, scheduling, gatekeeping and device control. Polycom says the new version is the only network management application that can manage Polycom RMX 2000 realtime media conferencing platforms and HDXT high-definition video conferencing systems. Other features include Microsoft Outlook plug-in enhancements, architecture improvements and Network Time Protocol. www.polycom.com
