Zenprise Appoints Amit Pandey President and CEO

Zenprise announced that its board of directors has appointed Amit Pandey as president and chief executive officer, which will take effect immediately. Zenprise develops solutions for secure Mobile Device Management (MDM). According to Zenprise, Pandey brings experience in building innovative high growth businesses.

Pandey was in charge of  the data management business at NetApp, which he led from infancy to revenues of over $500 million dollars. In addition, while at NetApp, he helped grow business from startup to over $100 million in bookings in 3 years.

Jayaram Bhat, the current president and CEO of Zenprise, will step down from his role, however, he will still be a consultant to the company. Waheed Qureshi, founder, chairman and CTO of Zenprise stated, “In 2011 alone, Jayaram led Zenprise to outstanding results. Through a team effort, Zenprise achieved a number of significant milestones including: grew bookings more than 400 percent, quadrupled MDM enterprise customers worldwide and raised $30 million, led by Greylock Partners.”

Along with Pandey’s above achievements, he is also known for accelerating the revenue growth of Terracotta, Inc., tripling year-over-year sales of their innovative in memory data store and establishing their data cache as the clear market leader for high performance Java applications. He holds a BS from Brown, and MS and MBA from MIT.
