LabTech Software‘s remote monitoring and management platform users will converge on the company’s user conference Automation Nation 2014,  June 2 to June 4, in Orlando for an update from the company on what’s next for the managed services platform. So what can MSPs expect?

LabTech Marketing Director John Timko provided MSPmentor with a sneak peek of what’s on the agenda and what announcements may be coming from the ConnectWise investment company.

As usual, this year’s conference will provide a firsthand look at new LabTech technologies.

“At Automation Nation this year, we will continue with our tradition of delivering informative and impactful training on LabTech to our LabTech partners to help them further advance their IT businesses,” Timko told MSPmentor.

What should Automation Nation attendees expect? Here are five things you need to know about the conference:

2. Expect a “special announcement” from Nachtrab
Webroot already announced new integrations with LabTech’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform this week and ConnectWise’s PSA platform, but what else could be in store?

Timko told MSPmentor that Automation Nation attendees should expect a “special announcement” from Nachtrab during his keynote address.

3. Many third-party exhibitors are expected to attend
Timko said about 30 third-party technology companies will be exhibiting at Automation Nation.

The conference also will feature numerous breakout sessions.

“There will be thought sharing between LabTech partners to how they are successfully using LabTech within their IT business, interaction with members of the LabTech Software Development team and [the] LabTech Software Executive team [will provide] insight from within the IT service provider industry,” Timko said.

4. Former Google CIO Douglas C. Merrill will deliver a keynote address
Douglas C. Merrill is the former chief information officer and vice president of engineering at Google (GOOG). He now is the CEO and founder of ZestFinance.com, a financial services technology company that leverages big data to assist in making better credit underwriting decisions.

Merrill will address Automation Nation attendees on Wednesday morning.

5. LabTech will introduce its “Synergy Platform
What is the “LabTech Synergy Platform”? And how will it affect the RMM software market?

Timko said LabTech will introduce the platform during Automation Nation, so stay tuned for more details as they become available.
