TPx Communications’ Steve Farmiloe

Farmiloe worked five years at TPx partner Top Speed Data Communications, where he led the company’s business-model pivot from circuit sales to 65% managed cloud services. The firm earned multiple accolades from TPx, including eighth best sales performer in 2017. Farmiloe founded the ATaaS Group – which helps telecom brokers, VARs and MSPs grow – before moving to TPx.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in December.

He officially begins work at his new employer Feb. 1.

“TPx and I have known Steve for many years as both a sales and channel leader,” said Ken Bisnoff, senior vice president of sales at TPx Communications. “We’re very fortunate to have him join the team as we take the next steps in our managed-services transformation.”

The company rebranded from TelePacific Communications in 2017 as part of an initiative to move beyond its traditional connectivity focus and grow its managed services footprint.

TPx, which landed second on the most recent MSP 501 list, announced last year that a private equity firm was acquiring it. The deal will close in the first or second quarter.

“The goal of this transaction is the acceleration of TPx’s healthy growth in the high-growth managed services markets that form the bulk of our business,” TPx’s senior vice president of marketing said.
