iCanTek, known for their IP video surveillance, is joining forces with Ingram Micro for its distribution muscle. VARs working with Ingram might want to read on and find out what solutions are now available…

ICanTek has launched a new line of hybrid IP/analog cameras, network video recorders and software solutions. With the new alliance, they’re now all supported through Ingram Micro’s “Physical Security Division” in the United States. And while we all know about Ingram Micro, iCanTek is sort of an unknown.

Their shtick? They call themselves the  leading manufacturer of IP video surveillance in Korea, on top of being the leader in “Embedded Multimedia & Network Convergence Technology.” It’s kind of a mouth full, but  iCanTek is apparently globally recognized for their iCanView IP camera, and some real-time 3G/4G mobile solution that enable “Instant Video from Anywhere to Anything.”

Seems like a potential win-win. Ingram gets a boost, and iCanTek sees distribution beyond Korea. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes on the ongoing IP surveillance trend.
