Victor Baez is SVP at Ingram Micro Cloud.
“I think these last two and a half years just showed us that everything is moving much faster. Technology is being adopted quicker, there’s a potential for even more disruption. And Ingram’s role is to be the enabler of an ecosystem. That does basically two things. One of them is to drive that whole lifecycle management for customers. So for the customers that are using the technology, we make sure they are using it the right way and that they’re happy. And that eventually becomes another source of more business, which ties into the second aspect of what Ingram does. We basically enable multiple solutions in a multicloud environment to thrive.”
Sanjib Sahoo, EVP and chief digital officer at Ingram Micro.
“We have a cloud subscription model, an anything-as-a-service model. As a distributor, you can actually aggregate different solutions, giving you the opportunity to bundle them as a service model. So, the concept of bundling together a solution…what it also does is actually gets you a little closer to the lifecycle.”
Duncan Robinson is VP, global portfolio management and marketing at Ingram Micro Cloud.
“I think technology companies are actually looking for us and our partners to actually be able to augment capability to deliver more complex workflows to deliver more product solutions to customers. And if you think about what we’ve been through and the explosion in the need for security… to be able to manage that right from end to end, that’s where I think we’re being viewed as an ecosystem a little bit differently.”
David Fuess is CEO at the Henson Group. He spoke about the labor shortage in the tech industry.
“We’re finding people, but their prices are going up all the time. In India, we know that every year people expect that 50% raise. And that’s different than Costa Rica, it’s different in Brazil. So, I think our customers expect us to stay really in tune with the labor market across the world and be able to bring labor to bear for their projects. That’s our responsibility.”
“If you have a big legacy footprint, or many, many applications, it’s difficult to move all of them to the public cloud,” Sahoo said. “So, what is happening is many times companies are figuring out for some part of the legacy, they really want to have on-prem clouds, private cloud, to make sure they have faster deployment within the market. There’s a balanced approach.”
David Luftig is EVP North America at Converge Technology Solutions.
“We’ll be sitting here five years from now talking about different technologies. However, it’s investing in your people, it’s investing in your clients, and it’s investing in your business that creates that trust long term, whatever happens with technology. You want to be the trusted adviser so that your people will be by your side to be excited to work together under whatever conditions. And it really comes down to building relationships.”

Ingram Micro’s Sanjib Sahoo
When it comes to the concept of anything-as-a-service, executives said it changed the way they sell.
“Anything-as-a-service gets us closer to the life cycle model,” said Sanjib Sahoo, executive vice president and chief digital officer at Ingram Micro. To learn more about what executives meant by that and other concepts, click on the slideshow above.
