Docker Acquires Kitematic Following SocketPlane Buyout
Docker didn't stop buying following its acquisition of DevOps-defined networking company SocketPlane. The San Francisco-based company on Thursday announced its acquisition of Kitematic. It hopes the purchase will further assist Mac users with developing on its open platform for distributed applications. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed to the public.
Cisco, HP Lead Cloud Infrastructure Market
New Synergy Research Group data showed that Cisco Systems (CSCO) and HP (HPQ) maintained their status as cloud infrastructure market leaders during the fourth quarter of 2014. Together, Cisco and HP controlled 27 percent of the cloud infrastructure market.
