Over the next two years, 58 percent of healthcare organizations not using cloud today say they are likely to do so, while 95 percent of healthcare organizations using cloud today plan to increase their cloud usage.
According to the study, the three most popular cloud apps for healthcare organizations are email (68 percent), patient care apps (65 percent), and file sharing (55 percent).
Sixty-four percent of respondents said that cloud technologies are improving productivity and efficiency for staff, and 55 percent said cloud tools are improving treatment.
According to 56 percent of respondents, cloud-based apps are improving patient satisfaction, which could be partly due to the fact that cloud apps and tools are speeding up the delivery of care.
Almost half of respondents have experienced a security breach or leak of private patient data.

Less than 10 percent of respondents lay the blame for security issues with cloud service providers, instead recognizing employee errors and lost devices among the top culprits for security and data privacy.
