Level 3 Communications (LVLT) suffered a fiber network outage earlier this month, according to Computer Weekly. The outage disrupted Internet traffic in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy.
On February 19, AOL (AOL) email users were unable to access their accounts for several hours. AOL told Data Center Knowledge that a networking issue caused the outage.

Apple iCloud last month suffered an outage that lasted approximately seven hours, according to Cloud Pro. The outage affected 11 cloud-based services.
In March, the Apple App Store and iTunes stopped working for approximately 11 hours. Bloomberg also noted that iCloud Mail and other web tools were unavailable for four hours.
Verizon (VZ) shut down its cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) for roughly 40 hours in January. However, Verizon warned customers about this outage in advance, informing them that it needed to perform routine maintenance on its cloud IaaS.
