ADTRAN Revamps ProCloud Service Portfolio
ADTRAN has updated its ProCloud service portfolio to deliver the first unified service for wired and wireless networks. The Huntsville, Alabama-based networking and communications equipment provider has incorporated ADTRAN NetVanta Ethernet switches into its ProCloud service portfolio to enable companies to expand their networks.

ProCloud offers a customizable cloud management platform, ADTRAN said, that businesses can use to view and control their networks from any location, at any time and on any device.
ADTRAN said integrating NetVanta Ethernet switches into its ProCloud service portfolio provides IT departments "with a complete view of both their wired and wireless LANs to ensure a high quality of experience." These cloud-managed switches ensure IT departments can use ProCloud to simplify ongoing network administration, ADTRAN noted, and improve network security.
"Cloud-managed switches were primarily introduced into the market as an extension of cloud-managed wireless; however, as the industry has moved toward more cloud-focused service deliveries, more providers have recognized the value of centralized management and improved network visibility across multiple network applications," Michelle Southerland, product manager for ADTRAN's enterprise networks division, told Talkin' Cloud.
The addition of cloud-managed switches within ADTRAN’s ProCloud service portfolio is now available and supports all ADTRAN Ethernet NetVanta switches, according to ADTRAN.
Southerland also said ADTRAN will continue to invest in its ProCloud service portfolio and plans to integrate additional ADTRAN solutions and vertical-focused applications into ProCloud.
ADTRAN recently updated its ADvantage Partner Program for channel partners as well.
Ted Cole, ADTRAN's vice president of channel sales, noted that his company's channel partner program enables participants to expand their solutions and service portfolios, and ultimately, increase their revenues.
