New technology company Altocloud officially announced its formation, promising to deliver effective customer-to-company interactions via its Altocloud platform. Former Cisco Systems (CSCO) executive Barry O’Sullivan, who has joined as co-founder and CEO of the fledgling company, will spearhead Altocloud.
Altocloud’s mission is to improve customer contact center experiences by providing IT organizations with its cloud-based contextual communications platform, which integrates into current enterprise contact centers without the need for replacement technology. According to the company, its platform will use data analytics and machine learning to produce more effective customer interactions and improve the customer experience over time.
“Customer-to-company communications is the last big user experience problem to be tackled. It’s our mission at Altocloud to re-imagine and forever change the customer communications journey and dramatically improve relationships between customers and brands,” said O’Sullivan in a statement. “Our vision is to revolutionize customer communications by delivering personalized experiences, smarter interactions, faster resolution and satisfied customers to your business—without brands having to invest more money in additional technology infrastructure or people.”
The Altocloud platform uses real-time analytics and a learning engine to combine business data with customer interaction experience for personal recommendations and predictive routing, according to the company. The platform can be deployed through JavaScript libraries and mobile SDKs and can be embedded with voice, video and chat communications.
“We believe it is critical to engage customers in the moment of need and to be able to deliver real-time, personalized care in the right context, on the right platform in a streamlined exchange,” he said.
O’Sullivan, who left his position at Cisco in November, will head a team which also consists of other IT community vets including Joe Smyth And Dan Arra, who will take on roles as CTO and VP of Sales, respectively. Altocloud also announced it would be partnering with Marketo, a fellow cloud-based marketing software provider, in addition to Touchbase to expand its reach into the channel.
