Arrow Electronics Offers nScaled DRaaS to ArrowSphere

Arrow Electronics Inc. (ARW) has entered into a distribution agreement with nScaled to offer its North American channel partners access to the company’s Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) via the ArrowSphere online marketplace.

According to the distributor, nScaled’s DRaaS provides ArrowSphere customers with a comprehensive disaster solution across multiple platforms for the first time. Partners will be able to configure, price and order the nScaled DRaaS solution to help their customers make a transition to the cloud, according to the press release.

“We believe that nScaled’s Cloud DR service provides a level of service that is unmatched in the industry,” said Jim Livingston, vice president of North American Services for Arrow’s ECS segment, in a statement. “The combination of speed, operations simplicity, performance guarantees and professional support at for a mid-market cloud DR solution are unprecedented.”

nScale’s DRaaS works similarly to other cloud-based services such as desktop as a service (DaaS) and software as a service (SaaS) in that it allows users to subscribe to the company’s backup and recovery program without having to install its own on-premise services.

“Our partnership with Arrow will enable nScaled to distribute our DRaaS cloud solution to even more businesses through a broader community of partners,” said Mark Jameson, vice president of Sales at nScaled. “With Arrow, and technology relationships like our NetApp Service Provider partnership, we are able to bring cloud-based IT protection to midmarket businesses who need to make sure that their business stays in business.”
