Cloud and data center performance management provider New Relic announced a partnership with Bulletproof Networks, whose customers will receive New Relic Standard for free with a free two-week upgrade to New Relic Professional. Bulletproof customers can now use New Relic’s “deep app performance visibility” to help them monitor and optimize their cloud applications.

Founded in 2001, Bulletproof Networks provides hosting and outsourced server management, and mission-critical infrastructure monitoring. Bulletproof plans to include New Relic’s capabilities with new dedicated VM services, and current customers can contact Bulletproof to request their free New Relic services.

“New Relic and Bulletproof share the same goal of helping organizations ensure the highest possible level of performance and availability,” said Bill Lapcevic, New Relic’s vice president of business development. “Together, Bulletproof and New Relic create a complete managed services solution for organization building and managing mission-critical applications.”

According to its press release, New Relic’s SaaS solution “combines real user monitoring, application monitoring, server monitoring and availability monitoring in a single solution built from the ground up and changes the way developers and operations teams manage web application performance in real-time.” Over 20,000 organizations use New Relic daily to optimize roughly 8 billion transactions, and the privately held firm partners with leading cloud management, platform and hosting vendors to provide their customers with instant visibility into the performance of deployed applications.

In May, New Relic joined the beta release of the HP Public Cloud initiative as one of nearly 40 new partners, and also worked with Tier3 to provide application monitoring for Tier3’s updated Enterprise Cloud Platform. In March Canadian firm ActiveState announced performance management support from New Relic for its application platform Stackato.
