CloudBerry Lab Offers MSPs FTP/SFTP Connections
CloudBerry Lab is now providing MSPs with a way to back customer data to an off-site server through an FTP or an SFTP connection.
Backup and management solutions provider CloudBerry Lab is now providing managed services providers (MSPs) with a way to backup customer data to an off-site server through an FTP or an SFTP connection.
Through this update, CloudBerry Managed Backup now enables backup service providers to store any amount of data on a self-hosted server with FTP/SFTP connection, the company said, adding that “the only limitation is the size of storage on a server.”
CloudBerry Lab CTO Alexey Serkov said in a statement that many MSPs already have their own storage accounts with hosting companies that allow FTP/SFTP access.
“It is also easy to configure FTP/ SFTP access on a Windows or a Linux server to take advantage of the existing hardware and storage and start offering the managed backup service,” he said.
CloudBerry Managed Backup offers MSPs a range of storage options for customer backups, including Amazon (AMZN) S3, Amazon Glacier, Microsoft (MSFT) Windows Azure and Openstack cloud platforms.
The company said MSPs can sign up for CloudBerry Managed Backup for free to evaluate the service.
Today’s news follows on the company’s September announcement that said it was the first to connect Amazon (AMZN) Web Services Simple Storage Service (S3).
