CloudBerry Lab Releases CloudBerry Backup Version 2.9

While many of us would like to prevent disasters from occurring, we typically do very little to plan for one. However, maybe it’s time to think differently. CloudBerry Lab recently released its CloudBerry Backup version 2.9 to provide users with the ability to backup their data online to their cloud storage accounts such as Amazon S3, Windows Azure and Google Storage.
The most recent version of CloudBerry Backup is equipped with a variety of new features including: an option to estimate cloud storage costs, the ability to write Events on backup completion to the Windows Event log, and provides users with the capability to configure pre- and post actions that will run before and after the actual backup is running.
CloudBerry Lab has integrated an option to estimate cloud storage costs by providing users the ability to specify a limit in GB or in dollar equivalent. Once the limit is reached, the backup will cease. The software will automatically calculate the costs based on the current storage price offered by the storage provider.
CloudBerry Lab provides users with the ability to to write Events on backup completion to the Windows Event log, a capability that provides users with easier deployment of CloudBerry Backup with monitoring and management systems including: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), HP OpenView, BMC Patrol, Quest Foglight, and others.
Also, the most recent version of CloudBerry Backup provides users with the capability to configure Pre- and Post actions that will run before and after the actual backup is running, which will assist in backing up application.
