ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini is expected to attend this week’s Ingram Micro Cloud Summit. Anecdotal evidence suggests ConnectWise and its sister companies (LabTech Software and Quosal) are set to plug into the Ingram Micro Cloud, a cloud aggregator service for MSPs, VARs and emerging cloud brokers. Here’s the update.More than 700 people, including 400 channel partners, will attend the Ingram Micro Cloud Summit, which starts today in Scottsdale, Ariz. Most of our event coverage will surface on MSPmentor’s sister site, Talkin’ Cloud.
The Ingram Micro Cloud platform, which is a cloud aggregation service, appears to be gaining momentum and is now ranked No. 18 among the world’s top 100 cloud services providers. But to accelerate growth, Ingram Micro Cloud must attract more and more apps and ISVs.
Next Move?
Enter ConnectWise. Ingram and ConnectWise have always had a cordial relationship but I don’t think there has ever been a “formal” relationship in the MSP and cloud markets. Historically speaking, the Ingram Micro Cloud and its predecessor (Ingram Micro Seismic) have enjoyed a deep, ongoing relationship with Autotask — ConnectWise’s chief rival in the PSA (professional services automation) market. Also, the Ingram Micro Cloud works closely with RMM (remote monitoring and management) software providers like N-able Technologies and Nimsoft.
Ingram has spent the past year or two making sure its has multiple ISV relationships in each software market segment. And it sounds like that effort will expand to include a formal relationship between Ingram Micro Cloud and the ConnectWise family of companies (LabTech, Quosal).
The timing sounds right:
ConnectWise: Historically speaking, the majority of ConnectWise software sales have involved on-premises deployments. But more recently, the majority of new ConnectWise deployments have involved the company’s cloud edition.
LabTech: The RMM (remote monitoring and management) software platform also started life as an on-premises solution. But a LabTech Cloud Edition surfaced in recent months.
Quosal: The sales quoting and proposal software has some components that run in the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud.
ConnectWise, LabTech and Quosal each are listed as event sponsors here at Ingram Micro Cloud Summit. And Bellini is scheduled to attend the event. So, it’s a safe guess ConnectWise and Ingram Micro Cloud are about to get far more cozy with each other.
