MSPmentor 501 honoree Corporate IT Solutions is now leveraging IndependenceIT‘s  Cloud Workspace Suite (CWS) to offer a desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution to customers.

The Norwood, Massachusetts-based managed service provider (MSP) has launched pCloud Workspace, a DaaS solution that provides users with unlimited application access and availability. IndependenceIT said the CWS platform allows Corporate IT Solutions “to orchestrate, manage and provision all elements necessary for automated, multi-platform, hypervisor/device agnostic workspaces, applications and [DaaS].”

pCloud Workspace “combines the agility and cost efficiency of the cloud with the reliability, security and expert technical management of enterprise applications,” according to Corporate IT Solutions. It supports over 1,000 apps, the company said, and features both private and public cloud options.

Other pCloud Workspace features include:

  • 24x7x365 monitoring

  • 99.9 percent uptime guarantee

  • Auditing and reporting capabilities

  • Automatic software upgrades

  • Custom workspace environment

Joshua Dinneen, Corporate IT Solutions’ executive vice president, noted that pCloud Workspace enables his company to provide customers with additional cloud flexibility, scalability and security.

“Along with our traditional products, this will allow clients a smooth transition and adoption strategy to the cloud,” he told MSPmentor.

Seth Bostock, IndependenceIT’s CEO, pointed out that CWS ensures Corporate IT Solutions can streamline all tasks required to manage virtual machines in a multi-tenant architecture. The solution also includes a tightly integrated tool set and application programming interface (API), Bostock said, that enables partners “to focus on solution sales and the growth of their business.”

IndependenceIT continues to explore ways to bolster its integrated workspace automation software platform as well.

For example, IndependenceIT unveiled Microsoft RemoteApp automated workflow and delivery for CWS at the 2015 Microsoft Cloud and Hosting Summit in Bellevue, Washington. RemoteApp gives MSPs “seamless delivery of one or more applications to any user computing device regardless of operating system or hardware platform” with CWS, IndependenceIT said, and ultimately could help service providers become more efficient.
