Cycle30, itself a subsidiary of Alaska’s giant telecommunications and cable provider GCI, is launching billing services for telecom, cable and utility operators based on SunGard Availability Services’ cloud platform. Here’s the scoop.

According to the press release, Cycle30 is leveraging SunGard’s Enterprise Cloud Services in a hosted environment to deliver billing services to customers. The offering comes in both cloud-based and dedicated managed environments. Cycle30 says the solution is managed out of SunGard data centers in Colorado and Pennsylvania, with failover in Arizona.

SunGard’s enterprise cloud services help Cycle30 drive innovation that improves on traditional billing system models by delivering billing via a cloud-based environment, helping multiple customers increase operational efficiency and competitive agility with the same hosted infrastructure,” said Rahul Bakshi, VP of Product Management & Solution Design at SunGard Availability Services in a prepared statement.
