Datapipe Partners With AWS, Unveils Global Cloud Center of Excellence

Datapipe today announced it’s working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop tools and resources to help enterprises move their workloads into the AWS Cloud.

The Jersey City, New Jersey-based hybrid IT solutions provider also introduced its Global Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), which will be run by Datapipe’s hybrid IT and cloud professionals with technical collaboration with AWS.

“Today’s Center of Excellence announcement is just another way for us to work closely with AWS to ensure that we bring to our clients the best cloud and hybrid IT solutions the industry has to offer. We expect a lot of great innovations to result from this collaboration,” Josh Lowry, Datapipe’s vice president of global cloud, told Talkin’ Cloud.

Datapipe said the Global Cloud CoE will focus on two initiatives:

Lowry will lead the Global Cloud CoE’s operations, and the center will be integrated into Datapipe’s Seattle-based Client Solutions Center.

Datapipe is an AWS Premiere Consulting Partner that “has developed significant breadth and depth of experience with the AWS platform over the last four years,” according to Lowry.

For example, the Datapipe Access Control Model for AWS (DACMA), released last November, allows enterprises to leverage Datapipe’s AWS managed services “without requiring [businesses] to hand over the administrator-level credentials.”

Craig Sowell, Datapipe’s chief marketing officer, added that he believes the Global Cloud CoE will help enterprises migrate to the AWS Cloud.

He also said that Datapipe “will continue to implement purpose-built hybrid IT environments that offer the flexibility and scalability of AWS.”
