Five Cloud Computing Services Experts to Watch, Feb. 3

So, who are the latest names to surface? Here are the latest five:

Berridge has positioned Bluewolf to focus on managed database services and cloud application management. An Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year, Berridge focuses heavily on employee retention and culture. In fact, Bluewolf is a three-time winner of Crains NYC Best Places to Work. Under Berridge’s leadership, Bluewolf has experienced a 40% year-over-year growth. He frequently presents at major cloud conferences, such as the annual Salesfoce.com Dreamforce conference.

2. Jonathan Bryce, CTO & founder of The Rackspace Cloud and OpenStack project Chairman. Twitter: @jbryce

Bryce began his career as a web developer for Rackspace. He and peer Todd Morey had a vision to build a sophisticated web hosting environment that users and businesses could leverage to design, develop and deploy their ideal web site. This vision became The Rackspace Cloud. These days, Bryce is project chairman on OpenStack, the open source cloud software initiative backed by roughly 140 companies.

Jilk is CEO and co-founder of Standing Cloud, which develops PaaS-based cloud application management services. The company provides an application layer for cloud service providers and technology solution providers. The layer seeks to ease application deployment and management.

4. Dina Moskowitz, founder and CEO, SaaSMAX. Twitter: @WiseSaaS

Moskowitz is building an app marketplace and solution provider network on the SaaSMax portal. The portal allows App Vendors to submit their apps; solutions providers to become resellers, and business users to find apps and business partners. Sounds simple. But can it succeeed? Talkin’ Cloud will be watching.

5. Nand Mulchandani, co-founder and CEO, ScaleXtreme. Twitter: @ScaleXtremeInc

Mulchandani previously launched Oblix and Determina, acquired by Oracle and VMware respectively. Now he’s focused on ScaleXtreme, provider of cloud-based server automation products for the distributed data center. Early partners include big-name cloud hosting providers like Rackspace, Savvis, TerreMark, GoGrid and Softlayer, just to name a few.
