The adoption of cloud-based services among enterprises is growing. Banking and financial institutions, healthcare, and government sectors will in turn drive the demand for test solutions among service providers and network equipment manufacturers.

The rapid increase in the adoption of cloud-based services is leading to a growing need for test and monitoring systems to proactively detect faults in the network before they impact end users. That's the conclusion of a new report from Frost and Sullivan. Here are the details.

Organizations from banking and financial institutions to healthcare to government are showing an increase in adoption of cloud-based services. As these vertical markets migrate to the cloud, well-defined standards are also expected to evolve, advancing cloud ecosystems, according to the report. To ensure performance, security and reliability — including well defined service level agreements (SLAs) and quality of experience (QoE) levels — organizations will need to invest in test solutions for cloud computing.

According to the report, security and privacy are the main issues around the deployment and development of cloud computing. Organizations do not feel comfortable providing a third-party with sensitive data. Frost and Sullivan says there are five risk factors involved in cloud computing: availability, data Integrity, privacy concern, security, lack of control.
