Green Cloud Technologies, a startup cloud technology solutions provider based in Greenville, S.C., has hired Eric Bost as its dealer manager for upstate South Carolina.

A former senior account executive with Windstream Corp., Bost will focus on sales of Green Cloud’s virtual server and virtual PBX solutions and assume responsibility for engaging, identifying and supporting sales partners as part of an effort to market solutions to businesses.

“Eric’s industry experience and his ability to understand and respond to the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses are qualities that will help us build a strong Authorized Partner Program and convey to businesses the power of our solutions,” said Charles Houser, Green Cloud’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.

Green Cloud, a cloud solutions provider that is relying on such platforms as BroadSoft, Cisco and VMware, launches services this month. Led by a team of industry veterans that founded NuVox Communications, the company offers managed IT and telecom solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, including virtual server, hosted PBX, unified communications and business continuity solutions.

Last month, Green Cloud said it selected Immedion LLC as its data center services provider.
