PRESS RELEASE — MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA–(Marketwired – October 20, 2015) – Gridstore®, the leader in hyper-converged all flash infrastructure for the Microsoft Cloud-Inspired Data Center today announced a strategic partnership with Cumulus Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Systems, Ltd. Gridstore will use Cumulus’ MARS Fabric to analyze infrastructure performance and system utilization to help design and optimize private and hybrid cloud Gridstore HyperConverged Infrastructure deployments.

Hosted in Azure Public cloud, MARS Fabricallows Gridstore to quickly create a secure environment to analyze the configuration and utilization of an individual workload or complete data center environment. A lightweight agentless MARS Fabric probe is installed at the customer site and data is gathered using standard interfaces such as SMI-S, WMI or System Center Configuration Manager. Gathered data is encrypted and transmitted securely to MARS Fabric server hosted on Azure using protocols such as SSL, or HTTPS. MARS Fabric provides reports and analysis with which Gridstore can specify an HCI solution that is uniquely tailored to a particular user’s needs, without over provisioning and dramatically reducing TCO.

Gridstore will analyze MARS Fabric reports on I/O utilization of both networks and storage, performance bottlenecks, capacity utilization, and end-to-end correlation from VM to storage, to size and configure solutions for a particular customer environment.

“Gridstore is known for its exceptional price/performance and dramatically low TCO compared to both traditional infrastructure and competing hyper-converged solutions,” said George Symons, CEO, Gridstore. “Now with MARS Fabric deployed in Azure Public cloud, we are able to design and configure solutions that are precisely tailored to an individual customer’s needs, further reducing that Total Cost of Ownership.”

“We’re pleased to be partnering with Gridstore,” said Arun Ramachandran, CEO, Cumulus Systems. “Gridstore’s HyperConverged Infrastructure is the next wave in data center modernization, and together the value we offer is very compelling.”

About Gridstore

Gridstore™ is the leader in HyperConverged All-Flash Infrastructure for the Microsoft Cloud-Inspired Data Center. Our customers gain a 10X performance improvement over traditional storage as we put all-flash as close to the workload as possible. They realize 4X lower TCO by consolidation of three layers of infrastructure into one built on X86 hardware, and 10X less management effort due to less management points and less infrastructure to manage. Gridstore’s HyperConverged Appliances (HCA) includes both compute and storage in a single system with the flexibility for nodes being compute and storage or storage only and can scale from a minimum of three nodes to 256. Gridstore’s patented software architecture delivers native Windows integration, per-VM I/O control, and elastic and independent scaling of resources. The Gridstore HCA is an ideal platform for infrastructure refreshes and specific Windows workloads such as VDI, SQL Server, Private Cloud, and ROBO. Gridstore is headquartered in Mountain View, CA. and its products and services are available through a global network of value-added resellers.

Gridstore is a Microsoft Gold OEM and Gold Data Center Partner, a member of the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance and Certified in the Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track Program.
