Ingram Micro Names Ex-AT&T Exec to Lead North American UCC Division

Santa Ana, California-based technology products distributor Ingram Micro (IM) today named former AT&T (T) executive Bob Gutschenritter as director of its North American unified communications and collaboration (UCC) division.

Gutschenritter brings more than two decades of telecommunications experience to Ingram Micro. He previously has held positions at AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) and Avaya (AV), among other companies, and will support Ingram Micro’s UCC market specialists, sales experts and technology solutions engineers in his new role.

“Ingram Micro is continuing to build out its UCC portfolio, leadership team and partner enablement resources,” Jay Miley, Ingram Micro’s vice president and general manager of its advanced technology division, said in a prepared statement. “We are thrilled to have Bob Gutschenritter join the team and head our growing UCC business.”

Miley added he believes Gutschenritter can help his company take its North American UCC division to the next level.

“Under [Gutschenritter’s] leadership, we expect to deliver even greater business value to our channel partners by minimizing the complexity of selling and supporting UCC solutions, while also increasing the business value they provide through targeted professional services opportunities,” Miley said.
