LiveTime Software, which develops IT service management solutions, has launched a virtual appliance. LiveTime claims the appliance allows companies to run their own private or public ITSM cloud. Initially, the appliance supports VMware environments, but additional virtualization support is planned.

The LiveTime virtual appliance features built-in debugging capabilities, configuration and management utilities and menus designed to guide clients through networking, monitoring and other general system functions. It also allows users to provide best practice service management as defined by ITIL processes.

The appliance arrives only a few months after LiveTime updated its cloud-based IT service desk solution. The company has been clearly focused on developing solutions for cloud environments since it released LiveTime 6.5 in July, 2011.
